Connecting Pets, People, and Community
Phoenix H.S.O.G.C. is more than a shelter—we’re a resource and a lifeline for animals and families in our community. Through outreach, we work to keep pets with their people, raise awareness about responsible pet care, and build lasting relationships with neighbors, businesses, and local organizations.
Explore the ways we serve and how you can get involved below.
Our Pet Food Pantry helps ensure that no pet goes hungry, no matter the circumstances. We provide free dog and cat food as well as cat litter to families experiencing hardship—because keeping pets in their homes and out of shelters starts with meeting their most basic needs.
By showing up for pet owners in tough times, we help prevent unnecessary surrenders and support the human-animal bond that means so much. These events are also a chance for us to build relationships, share resources, and remind our community that they’re not alone—we’re here to help.
Pet Food Pantry
Vaccine & Microchip Clinics
We host lowno-cost pop-up vaccine and microchip clinics in areas where they’re needed most, offering essential care like rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and FVRCP vaccines for dogs and cats. Microchipping is also available at low cost.
These clinics are more than just medical events—they’re an opportunity to meet pet owners where they are, listen to their concerns, and connect them with helpful resources that support keeping pets healthy, safe, and at home where they belong.
Outreach Clinics
We believe that no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets. That’s why we host regular Pet Food Pantry events, providing dog and cat food to families in need—no judgment, just help.
In addition to our pantry program, we offer low-cost / no-cost vaccine and microchip clinics throughout the year. These events make vital care affordable and accessible, helping families keep their pets healthy and safe.

Community Awareness & Education
You’ll find us out and about at local events, schools, markets, and more—educating the public about who we are, what we do, and how to be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation and homelessness.
Our team is always ready to share resources, answer questions, and introduce adoptable pets who are looking for their forever homes. It’s our chance to connect with people face-to-face, break down barriers to pet ownership, and grow a compassionate, informed community.
If you see us at an event—come say hi, grab some info, and meet a furry friend!
